Obit: Tim Pruett, 63, of Slinger. Tim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially in the gazebo.

Feb. 21, 2017 – Slinger, WI – Timothy I. Pruett, 63, of Slinger, entered eternal life peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, February 19, 2017, while Up North with his fishing buddies.

Tim was born on January 19, 1954, in Appleton, the son of the late Richard and Bernadine (nee Brockman) Pruett.  He graduated from West Bend East High School in 1972 and Lawrence University in Appleton in 1976.  Tim was a standout athlete in both high school and college setting some records that with new regulations and rules will never be broken.  While at Lawrence University Tim was President of Beta Theta Pi.

On January 14, 2015, Tim was united in marriage to the love of his life Donna Techel at their home in Slinger.  Donna and Tim enjoyed taking many trips together and traveling across the globe.  Tim was a sports enthusiast whole-heartedly, whether he was playing or watching.  He liked to go fishing, listen to music and was an avid reader.  Most importantly Tim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially in the gazebo.

Those Tim leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Donna; two sisters, Jodi (Frank) Micale of Neenah and Maurie (David) Osgood of West Bend; a brother Jay Pruett of West Bend; five sisters-in-law, Patrice Pruett of West Bend, Karen (Russel Wren) Techel of Sheboygan, Lori (Tony) Smith of Elkhart Lake, Shelly (Bradley) Johnson of Sheboygan and Sherry (Scott) Koenigs of Cumming, GA; a brother-in-law, John (Barb) Techel of Elkhart Lake; parents-in-law, Richard and Ione Otto of Sheboygan Falls, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and aunts and uncles, Tim was preceded in by a brother, Todd Pruett.

Per Tim’s wishes a Family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.  A memorial donation in memory of Tim will be made at a later date.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Sunrise Lodge and Tim’s fishing buddies for the wonderful weekend they were able to give him.  It allowed Tim to pass away, while doing something he truly loved!
