Obituary | Arthur A. Derge, 77, of Mayville

April 20, 2020 – Mayville, WI – Arthur A. Derge, 77, of Mayville passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Crossroads Care Center in Mayville after a short battle with cancer.

Art was born November 17, 1942, in West Bend, the son of Arnold and Hedwig (nee Dogs) Derge. He spent his childhood on the family farm in the town of Herman. He was a graduate of Mayville High School and served in the U.S. Army.

He married Marcy Meyer on November 6, 1971. They made their home on the family farm. Art drove milk and gravel trucks for many years. Art was longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Mayville.

He is survived by his son, Troy Derge of Hartford, his brother Arnold Derge of Mayville and his former wife, Marcy Meyer of Mayville. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Due to current health restrictions, a private family graveside service will be held for Art with Rev. Douglas Zahner officiating.

Burial will be at the Theresa Union Cemetery. Arthur’s service will be recorded. The video of the service will be posted on our website at.
