Obituary | Brenda I. Knoeck, 81, of West Bend

February 16, 2020 – Jackson, WI – Brenda I. Knoeck (formerly Thompson), 81, of West Bend, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at Froedtert West Bend Hospital in the town of Polk.

Brenda was born on January 25, 1939, in Whitewater, the daughter of the late Henry and Irma (nee Paluzzi) Cook. On February 7, 1959, she was united in marriage to Paul Thompson at St. Matthias Catholic Church in Nabob. Paul preceded Brenda in death on February 7, 1984. On July 3, 1993, she was united in marriage to Ronald Knoeck at St. Michael Catholic Church in the town of Kewaskum. Brenda was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Those Brenda leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Ronald; three sons, Mike (Doreen) Thompson, Greg (Angelica) Thompson, Doug Thompson; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Jordan) Thompson, Colin Thompson, Cami Thompson, Addy Thompson, Shawn (Sandy) James, Jessica (Tyler) Peeke, Neilan Thompson; a great-grandson, Brody Peeke; a sister, Jeanne Mueller; a brother-in-law, Donald Brath; other relatives and friends.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thompson; two sisters, Dorothy Brath and Jacqueline Cook; a brother, John Henry Cook.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Brenda will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. 8th Avenue, in West Bend. Rev. Howard Haase will officiate and burial will follow at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

Brenda’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

The Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home has been entrusted with Brenda’s arrangements.
