Obituary | Charles G. Henke, 79, of Kewaskum

April 6, 2020 – Kewaskum, WI – Charles Gustav Henke, 79, passed away on April 4, 2020 at his home in Kewaskum. He was born on October 21, 1940 in Mellen, WI to Karl and Esther (nee Campy) Henke.

He graduated high school in 1959. Charles married his love, Merle Ann Meyer on April 2, 1960 in Mellen, WI. He worked many years for both the Gehl Co. and Harley Davidson. Charles enjoyed all sports, especially baseball, softball and basketball. He also liked hunting, fishing, music, and dancing.

Charles is survived by his wife of 60 years, Merle; children Alana (John) Wilde, Todd (Lisa), Craig (Debbie), Britta; grandchildren Aaron (Evelyn), Jeni (Benjamin) Griswold, Alex Bartoli, Kathryn and Alyssa; great-grandchildren Brianna, Aaron and Lillian; sister Evie (Paul) Jokinen; brothers-in-law Chuck (Olivia) Meyer, Jeff (Kathy) Meyer; his adored cat and companion, Molly. Charles is furthered survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Karl “Futta” and Esther “Mutta,” brothers Richard and Bernard “Bernie.”

Due to CDC restrictions, Interment at Cayuga Cemetery will be at a later date.
