Obituary | Charles Joseph Minesal Sr., 91, of West Bend

April 17 , 2020 – West Bend, WI – In loving memory, we honor the life of Charles J. Minesal Sr., who entered into peace on April 11, 2020. Charles was born on February 10, 1927 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He married the love of his life, Gloria Stine, on September 6, 1958, and joyfully brought three children into the world during their early years of marriage.

Throughout his life, Charles inspired others through his spiritual strength and devotion to his family. He was a kind and compassionate man who worked hard to provide for his family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and could often be found cheering for them at baseball games and other events. He loved hunting, fishing, and playing softball. His fondest childhood memories were of family meals prepared by his father. He was happiest at family gatherings being surrounded by family.

Charles is survived by his children Charles (Carol) Minesal, Jr., Dan (Kay) Minesal and Tammy (Henry) Schilter; his 8 grandchildren Matthew Schilter, Samuel Minesal, Nicholas Minesal, Ryan Schilter, Mihaela Minesal, Zachary Minesal, Laura Schilter and Ashley Minesal; his 5 great grandchildren Carter Minesal, Cecelia Schilter, Alexis Schilter, Gloria Minesal and Josephine Schilter; his sisters-in-law June Marie Krueger, Judith Stine and Lorena Stine; nephews; nieces; cousins; and friends. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Gloria; his parents Anthony Minesal Sr. and Carmela (Valenti) Minesal; and 4 siblings Joseph Minesal, Ann Hommel, Grace Hansel and Anthony Minesal Jr.

There will be a small private funeral for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital are sincerely appreciated.
