Obituary | Gerry E. Kissinger, 62, of West Bend

August 6, 2019 – West Bend, WI –Gerry “Spider” Kissinger, 62, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Gerry was born on July 26, 1957 in West Bend to Herbert and Marie Kissinger (Thull). He was in a committed relationship with Sandy McGrath for 31 years.

Gerry graduated from Kewaskum High School. He was employed at Ataco Steel for over 25 years. Gerry enjoyed hunting with his brothers and nephew, gardening and playing cards, especially Sheepshead.

Those Gerry leaves behind to cherish his memory include his best friend and loving partner, Sandy; and son, Jason; four siblings, Marlene (Joel) Wilde, Rosemary Kissinger, William (Mary) Kissinger; and Bonnie (Gary) Hahn; goddaughter, Kaylee Wiskirchen; nieces and nephews, Heath (Tina) Wiskirchen, Stacy (Kevin) Biertzer, Amy (Nick) Niedzwiecki, Toby (Tina) Kissinger, Tracy Schuppel, Trevor Hahn, Dustin (Laura) Hahn, Chearie (Bill) Riebe; He is further survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Gerry was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Kissinger; and his nephew, Tommy Schuppel.

Funeral Service for Gerry will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Myrhum Patten Miller Kietzer Funeral Home (1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI 53095) with Rev. Jacob Strand officiating. Private inurnment at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Michaels at a later date.

Gerry’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials to the Kraemer Cancer Center and the Washington County Humane Society preferred.

Gerry’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Kraemer Cancer Center and Horizon Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Gerry and his family.
