Obituary | Raymond Arthur Perrow, 82, of Hartford

January 2, 2020 – Hartford, WI –Raymond “Ray” Arthur Perrow, 82, of Hartford, Wisconsin found peace on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 with his daughters Susan and Cassie by his side.

Ray was born in Baraga, Michigan on October 10, 1937 to parents Ephraim and Sylvia G. (nee Destrampe). He served in the United States National Guard. Ray married the former Helen E. Rajala on August 2, 1958. She preceded him in death on November 19,1993. He worked for several years logging for his father and The Alwood Corporation of Baraga until becoming a self-employed logging truck driver. Ray was a very kind and cheerful person with a wonderful sense of humor.

Ray led an active life snowmobiling, camping, crafting, hunting, spending time in the woods and traveling with his wife. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Nascar fan. For many years he snowplowed driveways for family and friends.

Ray is survived by his loving children, Dale (Jackie) Perrow, Lynn Perrow (Jason), all of L’Anse, MI, Susan (Jay) Selden of Hartford, WI, Cassie Dudo of Williston, ND. He is further survived by 5 cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Jennifer, Daniel, Tyler and Zach and 3 cherished greatgrandchildren; dear brothers, Ward (Sharon) of Marquette, MI, Donald (Cookie), David (Debbie) Perrow and sisters, Nancy (Don) Koski, and Barbara (Richie) Asher all of L’Anse, MI. He is further survived by his special friend, Jackie Schellinger of Hartford, WI, brother-in-law, Jim Jarvis, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marlene Almi, Dorothy (Ken) Saari, Mary Ann Jarvis and brother, Jeffrey Perrow.

A Memorial Mass for Ray will be celebrated Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 12 p.m. Noon at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 264 W. State Street Hartford, WI 53027, with Rev. David LaPlante officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m.-11:45 a.m.

A Memorial Service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in L’Anse, Michigan on a later date.

Future Inurnment in L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery in L’Anse MI.
