May 6, 2020 – Hustisford, WI – Verne F. Hundt (nee Radloff), 83, of Hustisford, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Verne was born June 12, 1936 in Hustisford to Hilda (nee Graunke) and Herman Radloff. She was united in marriage to Vilas W. Hundt on April 10, 1954 in Mayville, WI. Verne worked in accounts receivable for most of her working career. She was a devoted and longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, dancing, playing cards, traveling, and going on cruises. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Verne is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Vilas; loving children, Debra (Jeff) Canniff of Schofield, James Hundt of Neshkoro, and Barbara (Tim) Franzen of Plymouth; cherished grandchildren, Amy (Mike), Stephanie (Craig), Andrea (Luke), Jodi (John), Crystal (Chris), Andrew, Jessica, and Rebecca; 12 cherished great grandchildren; dear siblings, Rodney (Phyllis) Radloff of Mukwonago and Gayle Stevenson of Leesburg, FL; brother-in-law, Willie Jr. (Jane) Hundt of Hustisford and sister-in-law, Philrene Hundt of Neosho. She is further survived by loved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Priscilla (Norbert) Lehmann, Veleda (Jim) Radloff, Shirley (Harold) Zasada, and Phyllis (Marvin) Feller; parents-in-law, Willie Sr., and Renata Hundt; brothers-in-law, Ardel, Daniel (Grace),Virgil Hundt, and Wayne Stevenson; and sister-in-law, Luvilla Hundt.
Funeral Services for Verne were held privately for immediately family due to the current pandemic restrictions. Verne’s family will coordinate a celebration of her life when allowed to be held publicly. Please check Shimon Funeral Home’s website for updated information.
