Sept. 5, 2017 – West Bend, WI – After a highly successful fundraising campaign, employees of West Bend manufacturing company Weasler Engineering, Inc. have donated over $18,000 to Trot for Troops 5K.
Weasler employs a number of formerly enlisted servicemen so for this year’s “Give Where You Live” Program, the company chose to partner with a charitable organization that provides support to local military families.
Weasler chose to partner with Trot for Troops 5K because 100% of their proceeds are donated to groups that support the four aviation units based out of West Bend, which are currently stationed both stateside and abroad.
These groups assist commanders in meeting the military morale and welfare of their soldiers as well as enhance the family readiness of the units’ deployed soldiers and families.
The “Give Where You Live” Program is an initiative of Weasler’s parent company, Actuant Corporation, to encourage and support, through both financial and volunteer efforts, the philanthropic efforts of Actuant’s business locations across the globe, including Weasler Engineering.
A few of Weasler’s fundraising efforts included seeking donations at a golf outing, selling original oil and watercolor paintings that were once owned by company founder Anthony Weasler, and a bag toss tournament held at King Pin Bowl in West Bend.
