“Although we are mourning his loss, we need to celebrate his presence with us through his 28 years of service,” Allenton Fire Chief John Breuer said.

Wolf died Wednesday, Dec. 30 following a four year battle with cancer.

“He was organized, dedicated, disciplined and devoted to his family, his farm, the firehouse and his faith,” said Breuer.

Wolf joined the Allenton Fire Department in 1987. He followed in the footsteps of his father Albert and his brothers, Dan, Bernie, and Ray, who were all volunteer firefighters.

Allenton Fire Department Captain Jeremy Pfeifer said Wolf was extremely dedicated and a good teacher. “He worked with you and made you do your best,” Pfeifer said. ” There’s a lot more training to be an EMT now; Paul realized that was needed and he organized a study group that helps the new guys work with experienced EMTs.”
