Police make arrest in threat on social media

On 03/01/16, a citizen notified the West Bend Police Department that there was a Facebook posting, made in a private Facebook group that was written “Don’t like twinkies … no high blood pressure…no diabetes… Towers are still down…and haven’t shot up a school … Yet …;” The citizen took this as a threat to a school and notified West Bend Police.

No specific date or school was mentioned anywhere on the Facebook post. Investigators from the West Bend Police Department identified the author of the Facebook message and took him into custody on 03/01/16. The subject is a 35-year-old West Bend man. He admitted to writing the statement and said it was in response to others posting about the number of school shootings in the United States. The man was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and a Violation of his Probation. He is on probation for Battery.

TRESPASSING / STALKING
300 block of South Main Street
On 03/01/16, at 8:48 pm, a 33-year-old West Bend man reported that a 32-year-old West Bend woman, entered his residence without permission and refused to leave after being requested. This is the third where the woman has entered the man’s residence without permission. The woman has also driven past the man’s place of employment numerous times, stopping briefly in front of the business, and frequenting the same places the man is at. The woman was arrested for Criminal Trespassing and Stalking.
