May 18, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – Mother Nature moved through Washington County with some strong storms on Wednesday. The skies grew dark to the north right around 7 p.m. when the annual Ride of Silence took off from Veterans Avenue in West Bend.
Organizers thought the marginal turnout was a result of the pending storm as the National Weather Service was busy listing watches and warnings.
There were a number of emergency fire calls after the first round of lightning and storms swept through including a call to Newburg Fire Department after neighbors smelled smoke at a home off Highway 33.
A second round of rain came bustin through the county just after 10:30 p.m.
We Energies listed 1,718 power outages.
…. so how much rain did you receive?
