Road work on County Trunk Highway H begins Monday, September 23 | By Washington County Highway Department

September 23, 2019 – Town of Kewaskum, WI – County Highway H between Oak Drive and Kettle Moraine Drive will be closed to traffic beginning September 23, 2019.

The proposed work will add a high-friction surface treatment, center-line rumble strips, and safety warning signs to the section of CTH H from Oak Drive to Kettle Moraine Drive.

County Highway H under construction

The purpose of the project is to improve safety on the curves between Oak Drive and Kettle Moraine Drive where there is a well-documented history of crashes.

The project is funded through a Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant applied for and received by Washington County. We anticipate CTH H between Oak Drive and Kettle Moraine Drive to be open to traffic by the middle of October.

All dates mentioned are weather dependent. See images below for the project location and more details on high-friction surface treatments.
