Snow may be to blame for fatal accident in neighboring Fond du Lac County | By Bob Nelson

Feb. 3, 2018 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – Snow-covered roads led to a two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 77-year-old woman in Fond du Lac County Saturday morning.
She was a passenger in a westbound car that crossed over the center line on State Highway 44 near Searle Road and was struck by an eastbound pickup truck with a plow.
A 50-year-old Sheboygan woman was driving the car and a 52-year-old man from the Markesan area was driving the pickup.
Sheriff’s officials say the 77-year-old woman was taken to Ripon Medical Center where she died.
The Sheboygan woman was also taken there for treatment of her injuries.
The pickup driver was treated at the scene and released. All three were wearing seat belts.
The accident in the Town of Metomen was reported shortly before 10 a.m.
