Obit: Rita A. Spoerl, 90

Rita A. Spoerl, 90, of the town of Wayne, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2015, at Cedar Community in the town of West Bend.

Rita was born on April 13, 1925, in the town of Ashford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Staehler) Mueller. On June 16, 1948, she was united in marriage to John Spoerl at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Campbellsport. John preceded Rita in death on August 2, 1991.

Rita was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was employed by Regal Ware for 29 years and was a member of the 25 Year Club. Rita enjoyed gardening, especially flowers. She had a big heart and cherished her family.

Those Rita leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two sons, John Spoerl of the town of West Bend and Roger Spoerl of West Bend; three brothers, Joseph (Beatrice) Mueller of Campbellsport, Leo Mueller of the town of Kewaskum, and Harold (Kathryn) Mueller of West Bend; three sisters, Elizabeth Theusch of the town of Kewaskum, Olive (Harry) Batzler of the town of Ashford, and Rose Guell of Waucousta; a sister-in-law, Patricia Mueller of the town of Kewaskum; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Rita was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Mueller; two brothers-in-law, Edward Theusch and Bob Guell; and a sister-in-law, Arlene Mueller.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rita will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Rita’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from Noon until the time of Mass.
