There was a line that stretched from The Exclusive Co. up the street to Old Settlers’ Park and around the corner of Barton Ink on Saturday morning. It was a great turnout for the annual Record Store Day.
“This one is empty, this one is empty, this one is empty,” said store manager Jesse Averill as he walked through the vinyl section at the back of the store. “It’s just unbelievable how fast the stuff moved today.”
In its ninth year, Record Store Day is a chance for music lovers to celebrate independent record shops, discover new music and learn about the renewed passion for vinyl.
Many record labels turned out limited editions that went up for grabs at stores across the country.
