The famous Radio Rosies will be visiting Allenton

In a tradition to have new entertainment appear every year in the Allenton Annual Picnic Parade, the committee contacted a trio of young ladies, that perform for returning veterans of the Honor Flights, to be a part of this year’s parade on Sunday, Aug. 21.

The Radio Rosies, a USO-style trio formed in 2013, perform regularly around the Milwaukee area with their fabulous back-up band from BtW Productions.

The Rosies (Catherine, Heather, and Elizabeth) are passionate about singing and dancing in the style of the classic female vocal trios of the Greatest Generation – the Andrews Sisters, the McGuire Sisters, and more!

Friends since the age of two, Catherine and Elizabeth decided to form the trio after becoming enamored with the gorgeous harmonies, sweet lyrics, and energetic style of the Andrews Sisters. Their goal was to spread the music and the spirit of the 1940s throughout the Milwaukee community. Heather joined the duo soon after, and The Radio Rosies took off!

The Rosies are proud to say that they are self-managed, self-directed, self-choreographed, and learn all of their arrangements by ear. Much love and hard work has gone into forming this group, and the Rosies hope to see you at Allenton this coming Sunday.  They will be performing in the parade followed by a short rendition of some of their music during the “Concert in the Park.”
