Tough loss on the road as UW-WC comes up short against UW-Waukesha | By Jacob Schmick

Dec. 14, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – It was a tough night for the UW-WC Wildcats as they traveled through the snow to visit UW-Waukesha.

The game started strong as the Wildcats took a 19-17 lead into the second quarter.

However, the team went cold from the field in the second quarter, and went into the locker room trailing at the half, 38-25.

The start of the third quarter saw the Cougars lead grow as it jumped right out to a 41-25 lead and the Wildcats never recovered.  Eventually, the Cougars were too much and the Wildcats fell 91-61.

The Wildcats were lead in scoring by Marissa Kaul with 18 points (season high) and Sammie Brown with 14 points.

Kaytie Lighthizer also contributed nine points with every basket coming from behind the arc.

The Wildcats are off for the holidays resuming play on Dec. 30 at UW-Marathon.
