Underground cable blamed for power out in Hartford and Village of Slinger

Nearly 3,000 people in Hartford and the Village of Slinger lost power around 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

 

Hartford Utility Director Brian Rhodes said they traced the problem to an underground cable. He said as of 2:30 p.m. a majority of customers were back on line.

 

Remaining customers should have service shortly.

 

Rhodes said what caused the problem has yet to be determined.
