Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt has issued the following press release regarding the ongoing search for three missing boys in the neighboring Iron Ridge area:
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is currently working in Joint Unified Command with the Iron Ridge Fire Department searching the area of Neda Rd/Ore Rd in the Town of Hubbard, Dodge County.
Current operations are in progress for the search of 3 teenagers who were reported missing late on Sunday, July 10, 2016. At this time this is an ongoing search operation and there is no information that anyone is injured. This area is heavily wooded and there are old mine tunnels in the area as well, making the search area difficult to traverse.
We are asking the media to stay clear of the area with any helicopters as the noise produced from them has made communications on the ground difficult. We are also asking the public to stay clear of the area to make search efforts more effective.
A press conference is scheduled for 8:00am at the Iron Ridge Fire Department, 4000 Industrial Dr, Iron Ridge. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
