Update on snowplowing by Dist. 4 alderman Chris Jenkins
I have been in talks with West bend Public Works Director Doug Neumann regarding the snowplowing effort for the city.
•DPW Crews started salting early Monday morning and covered the City in preparation
•Plows went out as of 2:30 p.m. Monday, and since then every crew member and plow has been out.
•The snow plow operators have had a straight 32-hour shift with no rest in between, we can only hope residents understand what is all involved in removing snow throughout the entire city and how the crews accomplish this.
•We will be conducting a second night plowing on Wednesday morning starting at 4:45 a.m. This is done for the clean-up of the parked cars and other piles that may have popped up. We also have double garbage routes on Wednesday and sidewalks to clear of snow. This may not allow us to remove the snow piles from downtown until Monday.
Thank you for your understanding! Chris Jenkins
