UW Washington County Golf Team finished its season as Runner-Up in the WCC State Golf Tournament held at Mascoutin Golf Club on October 2 and 3.

After two days of competition the Wildcats finished in 2nd place,  three stroke behind UW-Sheboygan.

Individually, Adam Butler finished as the Medalist of the Year.

Kevin Albrecht also was 1st team All-Conference finishing third.

Nikki Differt earned 2nd team All-Conference honors.

Mitch Saari just missed post season honors.

“I’m really proud of the players,” said Coach John Minz. “Having only 4 golfers this year put a lot of pressure on them to perform, every score counts, no throw-outs.  They made a real run for the title after being down 24 strokes the first day.  To work your way back into contention on day No. 2 says a lot about their character.  It has been a real honor to work with Nikki, Adam, Kevin, and Mitch.”

Trying to build on their recent success: WCC State Tournament 2014 WCC State Runner- Up, 2015 WCC State Title, and 2016 WCC Runner-Up.
