UW-WC hangs tough but falls in conference match to UW-Waukesha

“We lost in four but played very hard and intense volleyball,” coach Deb Butschlick said about the Wildcats loss to UW-Waukesha tonight.

The UW-Washington County Wildcats came out really strong in the first set.

“Both teams had long rallies,” said Butschlick. “As the match continued we started to struggle with service receive allowing us to have only three kills out of 18 attempts.”

UW-WC is 1 – 2 in conference and 4 – 7 overall.

Amber Herbst led the team with 21 kills out of 45 attempts, 18 digs

Michaela Millard had 10 kills and 16 digs.

The Wildcats host UW-Manitowoc in a conference game Monday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m.
