Washington County’s Kathy Kiernan, 5th Congressional District chairwoman, gave one of the nominating speeches for Sen. Ron Johnson at Saturday’s state GOP convention in Green Bay.
Highlights from the convention at the KI Convention Center include the party endorsing Ron Johnson for a second term in the U.S. Senate.
Guest speakers included Gov. Scott Walker, House Speaker Paul Ryan, and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.
Washington County Republican Party chairman Jim Geldreich is also at the convention. Both Geldreich and Kiernan were recently elected as delegates to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
