16-41059-redact

Nov. 14, 2016 – Slinger, WI – On Sunday, Nov. 13 at 5:05 p.m. the Washington County Sheriff received a cell 911 call from a concerned motorist about a northbound black pick-up truck on I41 near STH 60 that was “all over the road.”

It was reported the truck was traveling from shoulder to shoulder and rumble strip to rumble strip; vehicles were lining up behind the suspect driver because they were afraid to pass due to the erratic driving. As the complainant was following the suspect driver also struck a construction barrel near County Trunk D.

A deputy attempted to stop the vehicle on I41 south of STH 28 but the vehicle failed to stop. The driver exited the Interstate at STH 28 and then turned around and proceeded back south on I41. The vehicle continued southbound on I41 at speeds ranging from 100 mph to as slow as 35 mph striking another construction barrel as well sideswiping a temporary concrete wall twice in the construction zone.

  1. Another prime example of the lobbying power of the Tavern League . If this state wasn’t so lax with drunk driving penalties this person would be in prison. We need the state to increase the penalty to serious jail time after 3 convictions. We have become way too lax with regards to certain aspects of law enforcement. I am very pro law enforcement but our drunk driving laws MUST change! I urge all who read this to call your representatives and ask them to push for stiffer laws. We must not let money and lobbyists endanger our public safety!

    • Prison doesn’t seem to be helping..idt locking someone up for many yrs for a disease is the correct thing to be doing. This does have to stop rehab center for yrs instead maybe?

      • That disease business is an excuse.Nobody is holding a gun to his head and telling him to endanger peoples lives and to flee from law enforcement! And yes prison is the answer, pretty hard to drive drunk when your locked up.We need to build bigger and better prisons to get people like this and other repeat criminals off the street! This country is becoming too full of the its not my fault mentality.

  2. Id like to know how long he spent behind bars for number 6, 7, and 8! How long does it take to get 9? 50 years? 60 years? How the hell does 9 even happen in a lifetime?
