Waubeka assistant Fire Chief dies following motorcycle accident

Nov. 3, 2018 – Washington Co., WI – The identity of the 53-year-old man killed Friday night in a deer vs. motorcycle accident has been released. Waubeka Fire Chief Jason Caswell posted the note below about assistant fire chief Bruce Koehler.

“It is with great sadness, difficulty and sorrow to inform you that Bruce passed away late last evening as a result of a fatal motorcycle accident. He was on his way home from the Fillmore FD fish fry when he struck a deer just inside the Washington County line on Highway H. He was attended to by Fillmore Rescue and Newburg Ambulance, and flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert were he succumbed to his injuries. Please keep Bruce’s family in your thoughts and prayers as they work through this difficult time. As you all know Bruce was extremely dedicated to his family, friends and fire department family and his presence will be sorely missed.
