West Bend Attorney Eileen Evans appointed to Preliminary Review Committee

 

August 22, 2017 – Madison, WI – The Wisconsin Supreme Court recently appointed three attorneys to serve on the Preliminary Review Committee, which assists the Court in regulating the practice of law: Atty. Barry J. Boline of Port Washington, Atty. Eileen T. Evans of West Bend, and Atty. John Zwolanek of Waunakee.

 

 

The Preliminary Review Committee meets in panels of seven approximately four to six times per year to review investigations and determine whether there is cause for the director of the Office of Lawyer Regulation to file a complaint with the Supreme Court. The committee may also consider whether further review of a dismissed case should be considered at the request of a grievant.

The court system relies on volunteers, both lawyers and non-lawyers, to serve on committees and boards because of their diverse expertise and background, to perform this essential service.
