West Bend man tagged for 6th OWI and 4 Milwaukee women arrested for retail theft

The West Bend Police Department made the following four arrests for OWI between Friday, May 12 and Sunday, May 14, 2017.

OWI – 6th OFFENSE – 2100 Block of Barton Avenue
On May 14, 2017, at 3:08 PM, a West Bend police officer observed a vehicle being driven by a male subject with a revoked driver’s license. The officer stopped the vehicle and observed signs the driver was intoxicated. The 46-year-old West Bend man failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .175% into a PBT, and was arrested for OWI – 6th Offense, Operating after Revocation, and for a Violation Ignition Interlock Device.

OWI – 2ND OFFENSE – 500 Block of South Main Street
On May 13, 2017, at 8:50 p.m., an employee of an area business reported an intoxicated male customer that drove away in a vehicle. A West Bend police officer located the vehicle and driver in the 100 block of S. Main Street. The investigating officer observed signs that the driver was intoxicated. The West Bend man, 35, failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .226% into a PBT, and was arrested for OWI – 2nd Offense.

OWI – 700 Block of Eastern Avenue
On May 14, 2017, at 2:22 a.m., a West Bend police officer stopped a vehicle for speeding and failing to stop for a stop sign. The investigating officer observed signs that the driver was intoxicated. The 33-year-old West Bend man failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .129% into a PBT, and was arrested for OWI.

OWI – 1800 Block of Miller Street
On May 14, 2017, at 2:50 AM, a West Bend police officer stopped a vehicle for speeding and observed signs that the driver was intoxicated. The 25-year-old McHenry, IL man failed the standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested for OWI.

 

RETAIL THEFT – 1500 Block of South Main Street
On May 12, 2017, at 8:08 PM, an employee of Bath and Body Works, 1530 South Main Street, reported four females entered the store, filled shopping bags with merchandise and ran from the store. The individuals entered a vehicle and drove away. Germantown Police observed the vehicle going southbound on USH 41. When officers attempted to stop the driver sped away. After a short pursuit Germantown Police Officers and Washington County Sheriff Deputies stopped the vehicle. All four females were taken into custody turned over to West Bend Police. The merchandise stolen from the business was recovered from the vehicle.An 18-year-old female, two 20-year-old females and a 21-year-old female, all residents of Milwaukee, were arrested for Retail Theft. Germantown Police also charged the driver with Fleeing. The 21 year old woman and one of the 20 year old women gave false names and were also charged with Obstructing an Officer.
