West Bend man who said he was “running late” ticketed for going 121 miles per hour

Feb. 13, 2017 – Jackson, WI – Speeding: A Washington County Sheriff’s deputy on routine patrol stopped a 19-year-old West Bend man Saturday morning for going 121 miles per hour on US 45 near STH 60.  The incident occurred at 5:37 a.m.  The driver indicated he was running late.  The deputy issued the driver a $515.50 speeding citation for 51 miles per hour over the posted limit.

Theft: The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate incidents involving a theft and one attempted theft of diesel fuel from bulk fuel tanks over the weekend.   Both scenes were within one mile of one another on STH 60 in the Town of Jackson; it is believed the thefts occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. At one scene, the actor(s) turned off power at the home in an effort to activate the bulk pumps.  At another scene the actor(s) were successful and removed several hundreds of gallons of diesel fuel.  Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 262-335-4420.
