West Bend Police arrest felon in possession of firearm

 

May 11, 2017 – On May 10, 2017 at 10 p.m., a West Bend Police Officer stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of W. Paradise Drive. The vehicle was reported stolen in Spring Green, WI.

Police took the 41-year-old driver into custody. The man’s last known residence was in Wisconsin Dells.

The man was wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for violation of his parole. The man has previous arrests for Burglary, Auto Theft, and Armed Robbery.

Investigators determined the man stole three additional vehicles in Wisconsin. He stole one in Madison, one in LaCrosse, and one in Peshtigo.

He also broke in to numerous vehicles in parking lots of churches and businesses throughout Wisconsin.

He stole purses, wallets, backpacks, and a handgun from the vehicles. The man stole the handgun from a vehicle parked at a church in Oregon WI.


West Bend Police arrested the man for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Owner’s Consent, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Stolen Property, Habitual Criminality and the Probation Warrant.

West Bend Police Investigators are working with police agencies from Spring Green, Madison, LaCrosse, and Peshtigo where he stole vehicles; and from Richland Center, Janesville, Spring Green, Green Bay, Manitowoc, Eau Claire, Tomah, Portage, Du Pere, Suamico, Menasha, Oregon, Jefferson, Fort Atkinson, Watertown, Middleton, Stoughton, Oconto, Columbus, Hollandale, and Mayville where he likely entered vehicles and stole items mentioned above.
