West Bend Police make numerous arrests this weekend for drinking and drugs

Dec. 18, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend Police Department made the following two arrests for OWI between Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 and Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017.

OWI/VEHICLE COLLISION
Skyline Dr. and Barton Ave.
On Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at 8:14 p.m., West Bend Officers were called to a two car vehicle collision on Skyline Drive and Barton Avenue. Investigating officers determined the one of the drivers, a 27-year-old West Bend male, was intoxicated and he was arrested for OWI. There were no injuries in the collision.

W. Paradise Dr. and Parkway Dr.
On Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 5:30 PM, a citizen reported a vehicle being driven erratically on W. Paradise Dr. at Parkway Dr. A West Bend Officer located the vehicle and the driver, a 30-year-old male from St. Louis Park, Minnesota, showed signs of intoxication. The man failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .227 in a PBT, and was arrested for OWI.

POSSESSION OF PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION/POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
1900 Block W. Washington St.
On Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 5:54 PM, a citizen reported a vehicle being driven erratically in the 1900 block of W. Washington Street. A West Bend Officer located the vehicle and identified the driver, a 35-year-old man from Saukville. After investigating the officer determined the man was not intoxicated or impaired. The officer did find prescription pills in the vehicle that the man did not have a valid prescription for and drug paraphernalia. The officer arrested the man for Possession of Prescription Medication Without a Valid Prescription and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA/OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER
700 Block Juniper Ct.
On Monday, December 18, 2017 at 12:39 a.m. a West Bend Officer stopped a vehicle in the 700 Block of Juniper Ct. The driver quickly exited the car and fled on foot. Officers located the man two blocks away hiding behind a garbage can and took him in to custody. Officers then retraced the man’s footprints in the snow and found that he hid a Mason jar with 18.6 grams of marijuana under a boat. Officers identified the 22-year-old man from West Bend and arrested him for Obstructing an Officer, Operating Auto with a Suspended Driver’s License, Possession of Marijuana, and Bail jumping for an open criminal case pending in Brown County Circuit Court.
