West Bend Police Weekend Media Briefs

July 10, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend Police Department made the following three arrests for OWI between Friday, July 7th and Sunday, July 9th, 2017:

OWI /CAUSING INJURY
W. Paradise Dr at US HWY 45
On July 7, 2017, at 10:30 PM, West Bend Police investigated a vehicle crash and identified one of the drivers as a 36-year-old female from Hartford. The investigating officer observed signs the female was impaired. She failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .168% into a PBT, and was arrested for
OWI Causing Injury. The driver of the other vehicle suffered a neck injury and was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital where she was treated and released.

OWI 5th OFFENSE
1500 Block W. Washington St
On July 8, 2017 at 1:54 PM a citizen reported a vehicle driving erratically on W. Washington St. A West Bend Police Officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as a 58-year-old male from Juneau, Wisconsin. The officer noticed signs of intoxication. The driver failed the standardized field
sobriety tests and was arrested for OWI-5th Offense.

OWI 3rd OFFENSE
N. 7th Ave at Hickory St.
On July 9, 2017, at 9:38 PM, a West Bend Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. When the officer approached the driver, the officer observed signs the driver was intoxicated. The driver was a 40-year-old male from West Bend. He failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .214% into a PBT,
and was arrested for OWI-3rd Offense.
