July 17, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend West baseball team punched its ticket to the WIAA state tournament with a 7 – 3 win over two-time defending state champ Menomonee Falls.
Earlier in the day the Spartans edged out Homestead with a 2 – 1 victory and then advanced to face the Indians.
The Spartans will take on Franklin in the WIAA state semifinal Friday, July 21 around 1:30 p.m. following the Marquette vs. Kiel game at Kapco Park at Concordia University in Mequon.
The winner advances to the championship game that night at 6:05 p.m. at Kapco Park.
