Winter Weather Advisory in Washington County

December 9, 2019 – Washington Co., WI – A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 5 p.m. this Monday afternoon.

The Washington County Highway Department has 19 salters on the road as of 3:52 p.m.  Scott Schmidt with the Highway Department said they are trying to stay ahead of the inch of snow and temps dropping may make wet roads a little icy.

WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations less than one inch.

* WHERE…Portions of east central and southeast Wisconsin.

* WHEN…From 3 PM to 5 PM CST this afternoon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

* IMPACTS…Visibility reduced to 1/4 to 1/2 mile for a short period of time.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…This is a quick hitting band of snow. Main impact will be visibility restrictions during the afternoon commute.
