Joseph J. Wagner, Jr., 67, of Hartford passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at his home in Hartford after a courageous battle with CJD.
Joseph was born March 9, 1949 in Menomonee Falls to Joseph and Gertrude (nee Hetzel) Wagner. He was united in marriage to Heidi Estermann on April 19, 1980 at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church in Hartford.
Joseph enjoyed racing, watching the Badgers and Packers, traveling and spending time with family.
He is survived by his loving wife Heidi, step-father-in-law Mathias Rettler, his siblings, Carol (Jon) Reis, Richard (Charleen) Wagner, and Greg (Sue) Wagner. Brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph Estermann, Mary (Cliff) Jurvelin, Chris (Bob) Caloun, Frieda (Tim) Scharpf, Kathy (Steve) Tollers, Lynn (Dan) Westfield, Lisa (Greg) Bright, Al (Linda) Estermann, Sandy(Marty) Westfield, Charlie (Jill) Estermann. Joseph is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law Alois Estermann, Sandy (Becker) Estermann-Rettler, brother-in-law Peter.
Funeral services for Joe will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at the St. Kilian Catholic Church, 428 Forest St., Hartford with Father David LaPlante officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 to NOON at the church.
Interment at St. Kilian Cemetery.
