2nd District Hartford alderman Wayne Rusniak running in Spring election | By Samantha Sali

Dec. 6, 2018 – Hartford, WI – The 2nd District alderman for Hartford, Wayne Rusniak, is seeking another term in the upcoming spring 2019 election.

“I’ve been on the City Council for 15 years,” said Rusniak. “I’ve had a lot of experience with budgets, planning, building, annexations…with everything that involves the City Council. I have a lot a lot of experience to know what it takes to see a community grow. My wife and I were both born and raised in the area, I own a barbershop downtown (Wayne’s Barber Shop) and I’ve done hair for over 40 years. I’ve got a pretty good idea of the pulse of the community, the citizens of Hartford, and the area. Hartford is a great place to raise a family.”

Rusniak was first elected in April 2004 after serving on the planning commission for eight years. In addition to being an alderman, he is the Personnel and Finance Committee Chairman.

When asked what he believed was the most significant issue facing the city, Rusniak said Hartford needs planned, controlled growth. “Hartford is a growing progressive community and we need to, very carefully, plan it and watch it progress,” he said.
