Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin (17-12295) Authority:  Sheriff Dale K. Schmidt  

April 3, 2017 – Washington Co., WI  – On April 3, 2017, the Washington County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Enforcement Group (MJDEG) and the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DOJ-DCI) served a search warrant at a Campbellsport, WI residence in support of a joint Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin investigation.

During the execution of the search warrant, three people were taken into custody on felony arrest warrants issued Friday, March 31. Two others initially taken into custody were released as they were not suspects in the investigation.

Additional suspects arrested on felony warrants were: one suspect in Campbellsport in a vehicle, and two more at an Eden area residence.

The search warrant and arrests are a culmination of a year-long investigation into the group distributing Heroin and Schedule II Narcotics, primarily to the greater West Bend and Kewaskum areas, along with limited distribution in Fond du Lac and Dodge Counties.

It is expected that the defendants will make their initial appearances in Washington County Circuit Court on April 4, 2017.

Assisting with the search warrant and arrest warrants today were the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and the Campbellsport Police Department.

Seven of the eight individuals named in the Criminal Complaint issued March 31 are in custody.

Arrested in vehicle in Campbellsport: Rachel Kreif

Arrested at Manor Hill Dr. Eden residence: William Merget, Katelyn Spang

In custody at Washington County Jail on unrelated charge: Andrew Simons
