Expanded hours at Jack Russell Memorial Library in Hartford | By Jennifer Einwalter

July 1, 2019 – Hartford, WI – After more than a year of planning and collecting feedback from the community, the Jack Russell Memorial Library will open at 9 a.m. Monday through Saturday starting Monday, July 1.
Jack Russell Memorial Library increasing hours
In the summer of 2018, the Library conducted a survey about hours as part of a strategic planning process.
Twenty-eight percent of respondents asked for hours to be expanded Monday through Friday at 9 a.m.
Increasing library hours has been a goal of the Library Board and  staff priority since hours were reduced in 2011.
This increase is possible because of financial support from the City Council and the Library Board eliminating a full-time position due to a retirement in the spring of 2019.  Thank you to the City of Hartford Common Council for its support and working with the Library Board to make this a reality.
To celebrate our new hours, the public is invited to stop in for cookies on Monday, July 1 and Tuesday, July 2.
