July 9, 2019 – Hartford, WI – Hartford Electric was happy to report that despite the shearing winds and rain which hit Hartford both on Thursday night, July 4, and Sunday afternoon, July 7, only six homes lost power when tree limbs came down and snapped power lines between poles and individual homes. Public Works crews came out to assist Hartford Electric crews safely remove those branches and trees prior to the electric being restored within three hours. Asplundh crews were in town assisting City crews in clearing branches and trees. Hartford Electric credits our tree trimming program from helping prevent widespread power outages. WE Energies was actually in town for several days addressing power outages in surrounding townships which lasted over 48 hours.
