It’s been nearly two years since a fatal accident on Highway 23 in Fond du Lac County , but a 27-year-old Kewaskum woman is standing trial this week for the accident.
Heather Cleveland allegedly was texting on her cell phone minutes before her SUV ran into the back of a pickup truck causing the truck to hit another vehicle head on.
That collision killed 63-year-old Linda Trotter. Cleveland is charged with homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle.
