March 22, 2018 – West Bend, WI – My name is Dave Weigand, and I am writing this letter in support of Mary Weigand for West Bend School Board. As Mary’s husband I know her as a solid, consistent conservative. She cares deeply about children and what they are learning in our government schools and desires to impact curriculum choices parents are asking for.
Mary is an independent thinker, hard worker, and will diligently look out for the interests of every tax payer and student in the district. She will do her research before voting on any issue. In speaking to residents in the district she is finding the central themes of concerns: curriculum and taxes. The community is looking for genuine and conservative leadership. Mary is the candidate that meets those criteria.
Mary’s integrity and values are needed at this time as the district looks for a new superintendent. Mary understands the recent history of the district and good policy changes that were made when I served as policy chair. She will hold the district accountable to maintain the good changes I and other conservative board members were able to get done, such as budget saving measures by using the tools of ACT 10, to continuing cost saving measures implemented after an energy audit was done, to the video taping of all meetings that enhance district transparency for the community.
I wholeheartedly support her in this quest to serve the community on the school board.
Join me April 3 in voting for Mary Weigand for school board. Since I can vote for two I’ll also be voting for Monte Schmiege.
