Obit: Carol E. Breuer (nee Holl), 77, of Richfield

 

Oct. 16, 2018 – Richfield, WI – Carol E. Breuer (nee Holl) passed away Sunday, Oct. 14 at the age of 77. She was born Oct. 20, 1940 to Henry and Helen (nee Barchent) Holl.

She was united in marriage to Herbert Breuer on July 20, 1963 at St. Mary’s Church in Richfield.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Herbert, her children: Lynn (Karl) Thornton, Brian (Margaret) Breuer, Brad Breuer and Brant (Sarah) Breuer and her grandchildren: Zachary and Megan Thornton and Brian Jr., Cole, Brooke, Elizabeth and Lydia Breuer. She is further survived by her sisters Helen (Robert) Langenecker and Rita Holl, her brother Anthony (Laura) Holl, her sisters-in-law Ann Klumpyan, Edna Steger and Kathleen Holl, her brother-in-law Harold Dietenberger and many nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Norman Holl, her sisters Carla Dietenberger and Theresa Aker and her brothers-in-law Edward Klumpyan and John Steger.

Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren if it was fishing up north, attending musical performances or sporting events. She enjoyed cooking and baking especially with a new recipe and spending time in her flower gardens, listening to polka music and playing cribbage.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018 at 7 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend with Rev. Jerome Repenshek presiding. Burial will take place Friday at 10 a.m. in St, Mathias Cemetery in New Fane. The family will greet visitors on Thursday, at the church only from 5 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.  Masses or memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.

The Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend is serving the family.
