Harriette Ann Leisner, 95, of Mequon, passed away peacefully on Friday March 4, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on February 23, 1921 to the late Alfred and Catherine (nee Schreindl) Vogl, in Milwaukee WI. On February 19, 1943, she was united in marriage to Henry Leisner at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
She was a home maker, enjoying raising her children which spanned 35 years. She loved animals, her dogs and cats, and liked watching birds and squirrels. Was a member of Lumen Christi Catholic Church in Mequon. She and her husband Henry were members of St. Joseph’s Benevolent Society since 1948. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Those Harriette leave behind to cherish her memory include her three children, Kathleen (Myron) Leisner of Grand Marsh, Gregory (Janice) Leisner of Milwaukee, and Annette (James) Jakubiak of Mequon; she was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, Shawn (Joan) Hacker, Brian Hacker, Shelly (Mark) Gibbon, Melissa (James) Nurkala, Eric (Michelle) Leisner, Jared Leisner, Brandon (Minyoung) Leisner, Elizabeth Jakubiak, Emily Jakubiak; great-grandmother of ten great-grandchildren, Alexis Gibbon, Haley Gibbon, Austin Hess, Mikalah Hess, Tori Hacker, Madison Hess, John Henry Hacker, Jaime Quinn Leisner, Alex Anaya, and Bryan Keon; son-in-law, Dennis Hacker of Slinger; nephew, Gary (Mary) Frey; niece, Jeanine (Scott) Polinske; Kathy Baranowski, Karen (nee McCarthy); other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Harriette was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph Allen Leisner; her loving husband Henry; infant brother; three sisters, Arline, Arabelle, and Beverly.
A Memorial Mass for Harriette will be held  on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 8881 Forest View Road, Kewaskum (St. Michaels). Father Edwin Kornath officiating and entombment of the cremains will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
The family will greet family and friends Saturday at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
