Obit: Joyce B. Beck, 76, town of Wayne

Joyce B. Beck, nee Ruplinger, formerly Borland, died peacefully on January 19,2016 at The Kathy Hospice at the age of 76 years. She was born on August 23, 1939 in the Town of Wayne to the late Ralph and Florence (nee Klein) Ruplinger.

For more than 25 years, Joyce worked as a nursing aide at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center. In 1996, she retired due to health complications.

She enjoyed spending time on a friend’s pontoon boat. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Survivors include 4 children Bryant (Cindy) Borland, Bruce Borland, Bret (Heather) Borland and Brenda Borland; 7 grandchildren Adam Augustin, Rachel Borland, Bruce Borland, Jr., Russel (Kayla) Borland, Derek Koepke, Kyle Borland and Stephanie Scholz; 3 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way; 1 brother Jim (Chris) Ruplinger; 1 sister Barb (Dick) Thelen; 1 niece and 2 nephews Jeff Ruplinger, Jamie (Jason) Lemke and Jason (Stacy) Thelen; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved aunt, Bernice.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 23 at 12 noon at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Enrique Hernandez presiding. Inurnment will be at a later date in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Kewaskum. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 10 until 11:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials for the benefit of the family.

Joyce’s family would like to thank all of the staff at The Kathy Hospice for their compassionate care.
