Dec. 12, 2016 – West Bend, WI – Marie L. Streff (nee Ocvirk) age 94 of West Bend died Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 22, 1922 in West Allis to John and Mary (nee Malensek) Ocvirk and married Wilfred W. Streff on May 7, 1960 in Milwaukee. Wilfred preceded her in death on January 11, 2013.
Marie graduated from Marquette University. Following her marriage she worked with her husband at the Streff Shop in Port Washington until her retirement. Marie enjoyed gardening and playing Bridge and spent many winters in Sun City Florida with Wilfred.
Marie is survived by her 2 children: Paul Streff of Milwaukee and Mary L. Wallace of Kenosha, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Ocvirk, her husband Wilfred Streff, her son William Streff, her brother John Ocvirk and 2 sisters: Margie Ocvirk and Janette Sommers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend with Rev. Nathan Reesman presiding. The family will greet visitors on Wednesday, at the church only from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church are appreciated.
