Norbert E. Sprengeler, age 83, passed away in West Bend, WI on Thursday, September 8, 2016 surrounded by his family.   He was born on January 28, 1933 to Ernst and Erna Sprengeler.

Norb is survived by his loving children Ginny (John) Theisen, Karl (Laura) Sprengeler and Beth Patmos; grandchildren Kallie (David) Locklair, Lindsay Sprengeler, Levi Patmos, Jana Patmos and Julia Patmos; great-grandsons Jahleel and Camden Locklair; brother Paul (Eileen) Sprengeler.

He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Marie, who was missed more than can be described; by his parents and brothers Walter (Inez) Sprengeler and David (Sandy) Sprengeler.

Many other family members and friends filled his life to the fullest.

In addition to his human connections, Norb was a dog lover and counted as his many ‘granddogs’, Sadie, Jaycee, Claire, Trixie, True, Sky, some living and some lovely memories.  His pockets were always full of treats.

Norb honored God, country, family and occupation without fail.  He was proud of his service in the US Army, his work as a grade school teacher and his many years as a machinist and large transmission technician.  He approached whatever he did with high expectations of himself. He was an honest, no bullshit kinda guy with a big heart and grit to match.  He raised his family with love and consistency, applying the same life values that he held for himself.

The family thanks the staff at Cedar Bay East and Cedar Bay Home Health and Hospice for their excellent care of our dad.  Very special thanks go to his favorite carer, Lana, whose visits were anticipated and enjoyed.

If you wish to remember Norb, hug your parents tight if they are still with you and, if not, remember them with love.

‘Poopsie’, you went to God with our kisses on your noggin.  We will see you again.

Private services were conducted at Phillip Funeral Home with Pastor Darren Knoll presiding.
