Obit: Patrick A. Schwab, 56, of Random Lake

 

May 14, 2018 – Random Lake, WI – Patrick A. Schwab, 56, of Random Lake, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, while watching Jeopardy, surrounded by his loving family.

Patrick was born on June 13, 1961 in Hartford, WI to Rosemary (nee O’Brien) Schwab and the late William J. Schwab. Patrick was raised in the Random Lake/Batavia area and in Tomahawk, Wisconsin and graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1979. Patrick moved to the Milwaukee area in the late 1980s to be closer to his son, Mason, and lived there for 25+ years before returning to Random Lake to care for his ailing father in 2006.

Patrick was a dedicated family man, who helped care for his father, who passed away from complications of Alzheimer’s in 2011. Patrick also helped care for his mother, and he continued to care for his mother until shortly before his passing. He was a man of many interests. He loved reading, writing, music, movies, history and random trivia. Patrick also had a lifelong love for the culinary arts, enjoying a career as a chef that spanned 20 years, working at a wide variety of restaurants throughout Southeastern Wisconsin, as well as a lifetime of cooking for his family’s many get-togethers and celebrations.

Those Patrick leaves behind to cherish his memory include his son, Mason; 8 siblings, Denise Murre, Mary Schwab, William Schwab, Roy Schwab, Richard Schwab, Daniel Schwab, Fran Schwab and Michael Schwab; his mother, Rosemary Schwab and many other relatives and friends.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father, William J. Schwab

A celebration of Patrick’s life will be held May 18, 2018 at Our Lady Of The Lakes Parish Center in Random Lake, WI. The visitation/service will take place between the hours of 3 pm and 7 pm. A private burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Random Lake.
