Obit: Ralph E. Klein, 84, of West Bend

Nov. 30, 2016 – West Bend, WI – Ralph E. Klein, 84, of West Bend, found peace on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Kathy’s Hospice, West Bend.

He was born on December 22, 1931 to the late Ervin and Viola (nee Moos) Klein in the Town of Scott. In high school, he was known as Buster. He graduated from Random Lake high school in 1949. He honorably served in the US Army. On August 13,1955, he was united in marriage to Esther Moser at St. Francis Cabrini Parsonage.

 

Ralph worked as an engineer at the Gehl Co. for many years. Ralph and Esther enjoyed traveling together. Ralph was very creative and enjoyed woodworking in his shop. He liked tinkering and one of the projects he was very proud of was a tractor he built. He also had enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Ralph had a great sense of humor and was a good story teller. Ralph was very generous with his hugs. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Those Ralph leaves behind to cherish his memory include his sister, Bernice Garbisch; a brother-in-law, Robert Moser; a sister-in-law, Lucille Janz; many nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Esther Klein; a son, Joseph Klein; brothers-in law, Kenneth Garbisch, Floyd Janz, Paul (Audrey) Moser, and Ray (Wylene) Moser; sisters-in-law, Virginia Moser and Marcella Heller.

A Memorial service in remembrance of Ralph will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at the Myrhum Patten Miller Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home Sunday, December 4. 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Washington County Memorial Park.

A special thank you from the family to the nurses and staff at Horizon Hospice, Kathy’s Hospice, and Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home for all their help and care.
