Obit: Reuben Harold Herther, 81

Reuben Harold Herther of Cedarburg, age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, January 29, 2016. He was born to William and Alma (Nee Wenzel) Herther on December 26, 1934.  Reuben graduated from Slinger High School in 1952 and married the love of his life Leola (Nee Ehlke) on May 29th, 1954. Together they had 5 children.

Reuben grew up farming. He worked at Rostad Aluminum for 55 years and retired in 2007. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Reuben is survived by his wife Leola, his children, Dan (Gay) Herther, Connie (John) Vollmar, Tom (Sue) Herther, Karen (Al) Guhl, and Debra (Todd) Weyker; grandchildren; Brittany, Allyson, Emily, Mandy (Jake), Jason (Jennifer), Megan (Tim), Nicole, Joshua, Ryan, Lauren and Anna; great-grandchildren, Mason, Kenzie and Addie; brother, Donald Herther; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceeded in death by his parents, siblings, Robert Herther, Wilbert Herther, Doris Parchim and Helen Rusch.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, February 4th, 2016 at David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church (2750 David’s Star Drive, Jackson, WI 53037) with Pastor Michael Woldt and Pastor Kurt Loescher presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00PM until the time of service. Interment will be at David’s Star Cemetery immediately following the service.
