Obit: Tory Russell, 79, Kewaskum

Tory A. Russell, 79, of Kewaskum, entered eternal life on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Cedar Community in West Bend.

He was born on October 19, 1936, the son of the late James and Amanda (nee Everson) Russell and on June 3, 1961, he was united in marriage to Mary Lee Schaefer at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.  Mary Lee preceded Tory in death on February 20, 1994.

Tory served his country in the United States Army from 1953 until 1961.  After leaving the military Tory worked at Techumseh Corporation for 38 years as a warranty technician.  He was a member of the Machinists & Aerospace Workers Union.  Tory enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, trips to northern Wisconsin, tinkering, bingo calling but his greatest joy was spending quality time with family.  He will be fondly remembered for attempting to repair and improve everything he did or was involved with.

Those Tory leaves behind to cherish his memory include six children, Susan (John) Callen of West Bend, Jane (Nicholas) Hesprich of Allenton, James (Theresa) Russell of Kewaskum, Tara (Joseph) Strassburg of Campbellsport, Wendy (Scott) Muckerheide and Kerry (Dan) Felten both of Kewaskum; 15 grandchildren, David and Timothy Callen, Joshua (Rachel) Hesprich, Ryan (Kayla) Hesprich, Nicole and Tanya Hesprich, Taylor and Jordan Russell, Adam (Cassandra) Strassburg, Andrew Strassburg, Derik, Cody and Brooke Muckerheide, Jack and Sawyer Felten; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine Fluke of Dousman; two sisters-in-law, Ann (Joe) Enright of Boltonville and Jean Spurlock of Norwalk, Iowa; two brothers-in-law, Mark (Cindy) Schaefer of Nekoosa and Steven (Gloria) Schaefer of Platteville; a lifelong friend, Jim Simon, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife of 32 years Mary Lee and his parents Tory was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul; a brother, Vincent Russell; his parents-in-law, Marvin and Marcella Schaefer; a nephew, Doug Enright and two brothers-in-law, Barney Fluke and Richard Schaefer.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Tory will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main St, in Kewaskum.   Father John Simon will officiate and burial will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
